ResearchTurk Space at ESA Symposium on Earth Observation for Soil Protection and Restoration | Frascati, Italy, 6–7 March 2024

ResearchTurk Space Founders Dr. Tamer Özalp and Nil Özalp participated in the ESA Symposium on Earth Observation for Soil Protection and Restoration, held on 6–7 March 2024 at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy.

The symposium brought together scientists, experts and relevant stakeholders to explore the role of Earth Observation technologies in soil protection, restoration and sustainable management. The programme addressed satellite-based soil monitoring, soil organic carbon, Copernicus-based monitoring systems and the WORLDSOILS Soil Organic Carbon Monitoring System. It also provided an important international forum for examining how Earth Observation can contribute to monitoring, reporting and verification in the context of the EU Soil Strategy for 2030.
